Classification:     Non-Exempt – Department 3100 – Seasonal Part Time
Reports To:          Management & Executive Team
Wage:                     $12.97 – $15.77 Hourly
Job Location:       Turlock, CA

Job Summary

Receptionist will provide essential general office support to the Executive, Management and Inspection teams. This job requires work to be performed in an office environment. The job is performed under very comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of the job.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Technical Capacity o Utilize and maintain standard office equipment including computer. o Ability to train others in computer systems. o Receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing them appropriately. o Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls and relay messages to staff as necessary. o General housecleaning and upkeep of the home office. Thoroughness o Accurate data entry and completion of company reports. o Provide direct support and assistance as requested to all team members. o Ensure accuracy and quality specifications. o Continuous mental and visual attention required. Organizational Skills o Proficient clerical, reception, and office coordination skills. o Proficient time management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines. o Retrieve, organize and distribute documents and information. o Possess effective communication and the ability to follow instructions. o Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions and limited supervision. o Inventory reporting and stock control as necessary. o Update calendars and schedule meetings. Personal Effectiveness/Credibility o Perform all duties in a professional manner. o Project a favorable image of the company to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximize employee morale and customer satisfaction. o Interpersonal skills with experience providing complex, confidential support with tact and diplomacy. o Be impartial and perform all duties in a professional manner. o Be flexible, punctual, and dependable. o Be available to work day, night, weekend, and/or Holiday shifts (as stated on Conditional Offer). o Maintain a clean and safe work area. Problem Solving/Analysis o Ability to work with or without direct supervision in accordance with laws, instructions and techniques. Physical Demands Intense and exacting mental and visual attention. Constant repetitive use of both hands for keying/typing and answering phones. Constant sitting. Occasional twisting at the neck and waist. Occasional reaching overhead. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Travel Occasional day and overnight travel may be required. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Part-time seasonal position (hours of work and days vary). Eligible for overtime pay (Non-Exempt according to the Fair Labor Standards Act). Length of service is relative to the grape harvest. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of one year office experience. Basic computer skills. Ability to read, write and speak English. Basic written communication and mathematical skills. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences (i.e. staff, winery personnel, etc.). General safety knowledge. Operation of multi-line phone system.
